Day Two

Today I did 8 sets of 5 sit ups and 8 sets of 10 crunches. Feeling good...and I have someone checking up on me two days a week to keep me grounded.

  1. It's not uncommon to feel badly a few days after beginning your weight loss journey: after all, your body is adjusting to new foods, new activities, and it's not always happy about either.

As you continue on (and you should!), you should keep in mind that weight loss isn't just about what we eat or what exercise we do—it's also about why we do or don't do the things we know we should do to become better. It's a way of filling our different human needs.

I'd encourage you to take a look at this video of Beverly, who lost 230 lbs. without any surgery or weight loss "magic bullets" aside from diet and exercise: http://bit.ly/RVsSYU In it, our different human needs are explained along with ways to become healthier. It's not that long, and you might find it to be pretty interesting.

  2. Courtney, I have come down with a fresh cold and the first two days I was feeling bad. I will be back on the grind tomorrow morning...runny nose and all.

    Thanks for the encouraging words.
